Paris: The Best Of Tourist Sites And Attractions

A city boasting more than 25 million tourist per year reaching its peak between march and september should be your first choice in selecting that ideal tourist destination. Paris is the capital and most populous city of France and situated on the Seine river, in the north of the France. This city is flooded with about 2,249,000 inhabitants (2011 population census) with more than half of the total born outside metropolitan France. A group of people called the Parisli founded this great city in the 3rd century BC and by the 12th century, Paris was already the largest city in the western world. Boasting  a GDP of  about US$760 billion, Paris is best known for its high end boutiques, five star restaurants as well as the infamous Paris fashion week held twice every year. Some major facts about Paris includes.
    • A population of approximately 2.24 million people, according to the 2010 census (approx. 3.6% of France's total population

    • An average yearly high temperature of about 16 degrees C (60.8 degrees F)

    • An average visitors per year: Over 25 million

    • A high tourism period of approximately March through September, with peaks in the summer. The Christmas season is also especially popular among visitor. 
    • A time zone of 6 hours which is ahead of Eastern Standard Time and 9 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time. 
However, some attractive tourist destination sites are presented below to potential travelers  and tourist majority of which are very interesting and fascinating.

  1. I earlier told you that this great city is situated on the Seine river. Now, just at the right bank of the seine river lies the Louvre museum which is one of the largest in the world with a very historic monument. One single experience in there will leave you with a lasting memory.





2.  Just at the center of the place Charles de Gaulle lies the Arc de Triomphe.









3.  On the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris lies the Notre Dame de Paris.
This might bring memories of th movie  The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.













4. On the left bank of the river Seine also lies the French National Museum Of Natural History.











5. Also located in this gorgeous city is
The Opéra de la Bastille or more commonly Opéra Bastille which is one of the best opera houses in the world.









6. Can this be complete without the Eiffel tower ?
The Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower.



 
7.  Its in Paris you'll also find the  Sainte-Chapelle. The Sainte-Chapelle is a royal medieval Gothic chapel, located near the Palais de la Cité, on the Île de la Cité in the heart of Paris, France.



8. Will this also be complete without Disney land ?  Disneyland Paris, originally Euro Disney Resort, is an entertainment resort in Marne-la-Vallée, a new town located 32 km east of the centre of Paris, and is the most visited attraction in all of France and Europe.





 
9. Another interesting place to visit is the catacombs of Paris. It is located south of the former city gate and the ossuaries hold the remains of about six million people and fill a renovated section of caverns and tunnels that are the remains of historical stone mines. The catacombs of Paris has been described as the worlds largest grave.



 10. lastly on my list is the Musée du quai Branly.The Musée du quai Branly, in Paris, France, features the indigenous art and cultures of Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas.






  Paris is a very amazing city with lots an lots of tourist attractions and places of interest. The list is endless and it goes on and on and that is why I have decided to give my best 10 from the hundreds of attractive sites in this fascinating city. A visit here will leave you speechless and you'll never want to return.
